Donor Requirements

Before you begin – please review important information to determine if you are eligible.

For the full list of criteria to determine if you are eligible; please continue reading:
Due to the sensitive nature of the biotherapeutic product we are producing, strict health policy measures are in place to protect vulnerable patients.

Please review the following criteria to determine if you are eligible for our stool donor program. At this time, you are NOT eligible for our program if you are:

  1. Unvaccinated for COVID-19.
  2. Have a BMI equal to or over 35 (Calculate your BMI here).
  3. Under 18 years of age.
  4. Older than 55 years of age
  5. Have taken antibiotics in the past 90 days (Please wait and enroll after the 90 days are past).
  6. Have a history of chronic diarrhea or alternating from constipation to diarrhea.
  7. Have used clotting factor concentrates.
  8. Have used needles for non-prescribed drug or steroid use.
  9. Have any relatives with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
  10. Have traveled for or received medical treatment outside of the United States.
  11. Work in a clinical healthcare setting (interact with patients).
  12. Work in a long-term care facility (nursing home, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living).
  13. Have received money, drugs, or other payment for sex.
  14. (if male) Have had sexual contact with another male

Additionally, you are not eligible if you have ever been diagnosed with:

  1. Cancer.
  2. HIV/AIDS.
  3. Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C.
  4. Any inflammatory or autoimmune disease, such as:
    • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
    • Crohn’s Disease.
    • Ulcerative Colitis.
    • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
    • Rheumatoid arthritis.
    • Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes.
    • Psoriasis.

You are not eligible if within the past 12 months you have:

  1. Had a transplant, such as organ, tissue, or bone marrow.
  2. Had sexual contact with anyone who has HIV/AIDS or has had a positive test for the HIV/AIDS virus.
  3. Had sexual contact with a prostitute or anyone who takes money, drugs, or other payments for sex.
  4. Had sexual contact with anyone who has used needles for non-prescribed drug use.
  5. Had sexual contact with anyone who has hemophilia or has used clotting factor concentrates.
  6. (if female) Had sexual contact with a male who has ever had sexual contact with another male.
  7. Been treated for syphilis, gonorrhea, or Chlamydia.
  8. Been in juvenile detention, lockup, jail, or prison for more than 72 hours.

If you meet any of the above criteria, we kindly ask that you do not enroll as a donor in our program. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Do you meet these requirements? 


Age

  • Between 18 – 54 yrs. old

Location

  • Able to provide regular stool donations on-site at our Roseville Minnesota facility.

Health

  • Able to pass initial and ongoing health screening questions
  • Participate in ongoing stool, COVID-19, and blood screening (paid for by Ferring)
  • Required to be vaccinated against COVID
  • Has a history of healthy bowel movements with no chronic diarrhea or constipation

Donation Commitment

  • Able to donate 3x weekly on an ongoing basis
  • Able to donate at the Ferring facility in Roseville, MN

Donor may be eligible for $30 per qualifying donations. A qualifying donation must:

  • Meet minimum weight requirements
  • Complete associated paper work
  • Remain current with screening requirements

Donors will be compensated $50 for completing COVID-19 screenings every 2 weeks.
